Well, this was that side-story promised. Taking place between Parts XIII and XIV, it has a few important themes I wanted to touch on. It is definitely more of a character study than anything else, and it was originally a one-sentence exercise I did (the italicized text up at the tip top of the document). I showed it to a friend on FF.net, and she wanted to see that sort of thing expanded, so... that's what I did.

It actually really fits in well with Affinity, and while I had intended it to be just a separate oneshot, as I went further into both stories I felt that it added something to keep the story in Affinity. Just, not in the main story... the narrative is too different and it comes out of nowhere. Still, I'm quite proud of it.
